Quick actions
Projects
Every folder in the Active jobs folder in Drive is a job here. To add one, make its folder in Active, then read Drive again.
Open a project to manage its per-job settings — hub link + QR, Site Snapshot door card, file-mapping overrides, and the tablets assigned to it.
Buildings
A building holds the shared, site-facing Site Snapshot (access, parking, risers, hours, building manager). Projects in the same building inherit it. No owner/customer details are stored here.
Contractors
Add a contractor to text them a personal “Update progress” link — no login, phone-first. The link shows all their jobs; they tap a task and log where they got to (25% · 50% · 75% · Complete · Blocked · No work today). Tasks come from the schedule (GanttPRO); this link only lets them report.
Copy or text this now — for security the link is shown only once. Lost it? Revoke the contractor and add them again.
Roles on each job’s schedule
Read from each job’s own GanttPRO schedule. Put a name and mobile against a role and Save — that links the person to the role, the same as picking it above, so their reminders and tasks follow. Nothing is changed in GanttPRO.
Tablets
A physical door tablet is paired once and then assigned to a job from here — no need to
re-point it in person when it moves between properties. Its kiosk Start URL never changes;
reassign it below and it switches to the new job on its own. Open /t on a new tablet to get a
6-digit code, then pair it here.
Set this as the tablet’s Fully Kiosk Start URL — it never changes. The tablet also opens it automatically.
Nudges & compliance
The nudge is the feedback: a 7pm text means you didn’t mark off. Compliance = silence — anyone who marked off (including Blocked / No work today) is never messaged. Messages are dry-run (recorded to the outbox below, not sent) unless an SMS provider is switched on — the schedule line below names it. Every message is in the outbox either way. This replaces the old Daily Site Update form. Contractor ticks are staged behind a write-back switch (below); certificate uploads are out of scope.
Text preview
Exactly what the 7pm and 7am checks would generate for today, straight from live records — the same recipients, timing, and wording a real send would use. This page is read-only: no send button, no provider setting, no outbox. If sending is ever switched on, that is a separate, deliberate change.
Variation Requests
Every Variation Request a contractor has submitted from a job page, newest first. Read-only — review and sign-off stay in EEQ's own system.
Ours or subcontractor
Our own staff can be moved around to even out the work. Subcontractors' dates are protected. A role nobody has picked counts as a subcontractor. A click saves straight away.
Days a subcontractor can't work
Per person, covering every role they hold. The evening list flags any task booked on one of these days. Past dates drop off on their own.
Rules
Days are working days. Times are New Zealand time, 24-hour.
Weekly GanttPRO check
GanttPRO's API is still in beta. Once a week the Hub makes two linked test tasks on the sandbox chart, moves one, checks the other followed it onto the right working day, then deletes both. It never touches a real job. A failure shows on the Tonight list and in the evening text.
Tonight
Planned vs actual
What each task was planned to take against what it really took. Planned is the plan in GanttPRO now; the original plan (the original estimate, or the first plan the Hub recorded) shows under it wherever the two differ. Actuals come from what the Hub has recorded: the nightly copies, the contractors' reports and Completes, and the answers to "How many more days?". Hours are working hours on each job's own GanttPRO working day. Nothing here changes a date.
Test mode Off
While test mode is on, every real text run — the 7am and 7pm texts, ready-for-you texts, the Blocked alert and the evening Tonight text — goes to the test number below instead of the real people, through TNZ. Each text starts with a line saying who it would have gone to. The real people get nothing. A run handled in test mode counts as done: turning test mode off does not send it again.
Send a test text
Sends one text to this number only, through TNZ — even while the live switch is off. Nobody else is texted and nothing is marked as sent. Preview it first.
Pretend it is…
Pick a day and the 7am or 7pm run to see every text that run would send that day, from the real schedule and contacts. Nothing is sent and nothing is marked as done. You can then send any of them — or all — to a test number, marked TEST.
Test sends
Every test text, from this tab or a run in test mode. Numbers show their last 3 digits only.
